Are you using Google Chrome? We are aware that some of our users have been experiencing issues logging into CloudBadging and other online applications after upgrading Google Chrome to version 84.0.4147.105. This issue can be resolved by resetting your Google Chrome settings. We have included instructions below to backup and reset your Chrome settings.
Enable Sync:
Enabling sync for Google Chrome will allow you to save any bookmarks or other settings you have saved in Chrome. You may already have Sync enabled, but if not, follow the steps below to turn it on. You may skip this step if desired, however you may lose bookmarks or other saved settings
1. Open "Chrome".
2. Click the menu button (three vertical dots in the upper right corner).
3. Click "Settings".
4. Click your account name at the top of the resulting window.
5. Click "Sync".
6. Click "Enable Sync"
Showing Hidden Files
1. Open “File Explorer“
2. Make sure the menu bar is expanded. If the menu bar is not expanded, you can do so with the toggle menu bar by selecting the ^ at the upper right portion of the window.
3. Select the “View” tab.
4. Check the “Hidden items” check box to view hidden items.
If you are having trouble finding this option, alternatively you can navigate directly to the folder you need. In your file explorer in your C: drive (found using step 2 under the Reset Chrome section below) click on the bar near the top, and it will turn into a text field where you can type: C:\Users\*username*\appdata and press enter. (Note that *username* should be your username which can be found under C:\Users)
Reset Chrome:
1. Close all open Google Chrome windows.
2. Click the "Start" button and select "Computer," then double-click on your "(C:)" drive.
3. Click "Users" and select your Windows user name.
4. Navigate to "AppData > Local > Google" (the AppData folder is hidden by default, to view this folder follow the guide above).
5. Rename the folder titled "Google" (for example "Google-Old").
Reopen Google Chrome. The browser will automatically reset and create a new folder.
Alternatively you can use Internet Explorer or Firefox with no issues.
