Self Service Password Reset

What is it:

We will be rolling out a new feature in Office 365 called “Self Service Password Reset”.
This feature allows you to reset your own Windows & Office 365 (Email) password in case you have forgotten it.

What to Expect:
The next time you sign in you will be prompted to provide additional information:

Please fill in these details to complete setup. This will give the system a way to verify who you are and reset the password.

Once this has been configured, you can use the “forgot password” link on the office.com sign in page to reset your password or the short link: https://aka.ms/sspr

Notes:

  • if you already have 2 factors configured, you may just be prompted to confirm that they are correct with no more information needed.

  • You can access the self-service password page by scanning the QR code on your monitor

  • Any accounts using Office 365 for authentication will be updated as well. (e.g. Salesforce for some users)

  • Password changes are pushed through the system in real time, but it could take a few minutes to fully

    complete in some scenarios.
Please open a ticket with IT Support if you have any questions.
